Hi ya’ll! Hope everyone had a blessed Easter and are enjoying Spring weather! It’s Jamie Mueller of Sunflower Quilts with another project. I had so much fun sewing with Pat Sloan’s new “The Sweet Life” fabric line for Moda Fabrics. These batik fabrics are so pretty and just screamed MAKE A BAG! It’s called “The Great Bag” and the pattern will be available soon on our website www.sunflower-quilts.com. I used StitchnSew™ Fleece Sew-In High Loft for the exterior of the bag and machine quilted it to make the bag super durable. Plus, who doesn’t love a quilted bag?!
I also used HeatnBond® Woven Fusible Soft for everything else on the bag and it worked great! If you make bags regularly, you should have a bolt of this stuff on hand!
I just love how well the Thermoweb products help make the bag so durable and make the fabrics pop! Look at how pretty “The Sweet Life” fabrics look; I’m so glad I have a new Spring bag to tote around!
